Men Taking On Recovery

Men who are addicted to alcohol or other drugs often deal with incredible challenges when faced with ongoing responsibilities. They may have difficulty seeking treatment, given their commitments to family, work, and other obligations. In addition, their physical and emotional health, as well as their relationships with others, tend to suffer enormously.

Men Taking On Recovery (MENTOR) is an intensive outpatient program for men who want help recovering from alcohol/drug dependence. MENTOR provides ways to cope with such issues as anger, frustration, stress, and problems in relationships. MENTOR is designed to help men overcome the problems associated with addiction through focused treatment for chemical dependency.

The MENTOR program consists of educational sessions, group therapy, and weekly family involvement. Free child care is located at CAPS, 1000 West Hively Avenue, next to Oaklawn.
