Psychiatric IOP is designed for adults who:

  • are currently unable to function at home, on the job, or in relationships;
  • have a psychiatric diagnosis;
  • need treatment that is more intensive than outpatient therapy.

What to expect

Psychiatric IOP is offered Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 9:00 - 11:00 a.m., at 101 Marilyn Avenue, Goshen.

Treatment is structured to meet the client's individual needs with the client participating in setting goals and developing a treatment plan. As progress occurs, sessions are reduced from five to three days per week. The length of stay varies, but is often two to four weeks. Clients are asked to arrive 30 minutes before group on the first day to meet the staff and orient to the facilities and program.

Group therapy, educational sessions regarding diagnosis and mental health issues, and individual assignments are included in the program. Medication management and individual and family therapy sessions are scheduled as needed.

Program fees

Each program component has a separate charge. We will contact your insurance company to obtain prior approval for services. Based on your income and family size, you may be eligible for a discounted fee through the Hoosier Assurance Plan. Staff will talk with you about your particular payment arrangements.
